Talk to Dermatologist on Pain In Fingernail Bed

I kind of smashed a finger in a cupboard a couple of weeks back. I usually have a high threshold of pain so I ignored it. But when I accidentally and clumsily hit it a couple more times, it hurt the whole night. Now even a single touch hurts. What have I done and what am I to do? It’s just a little purple on nail bed.

You have had internal bleeding in the nail root which will take several weeks to go away. But I cannot say for certain if that will leave a linear line on your nail or not.
