Talk to Dermatologist on Patchy Beard Issue

AoA, I have patchy beard and i tried minoxidil for around a month but I noticed that minoxidil was triggering pimples with ingrown hair so I stopped using it. Now a days, I'm using 'sarson ka tail' twice a day and I massage the patches gently. I'm thinking to use derma roller 0.5mm. My question from the docs is, should I even try to fill up the patches or is it an useless effort? does derma roller or oiling helps? thanks.
