Post Pneumonia Skin Lesions

Question

My niece, who is 17 years old suffered from pneumonia last summer, after recovering she developed painful lesions in the skin and mucous membranes they disappeared some weeks later, but now, six months later the lesions appeared again and the situation is  worsening day by day.
The doctor said he will perform a test to check if this is an autoimmune disease.
My niece  situation is getting worse at this point, she can barely open her mouth making eating almost imposible.
