Talk to Dermatologist on Scars From Self Harm

Back in 2011, I was going through a very tough time due to certain family issues... went into isolation and then into depression where I did all sorts of stupid things to hurt my self and one of the most stupidest things I resorted to was cutting my self. I didn't realise how stupid I was until years later but by then I had these scars on my wrist already. I feared to go to the doctors even when my mom insisted because of the judgement and questioning from the doctors. But now 7 years later even though I am out of that state of darkness these scars really lower my confidence and remind me of the bad times. I know these scars are old but I really want to know if there is anything that can be done to minimize them as soon as possible.
