salam dr . i consulted a dermatologist for psoriasis on scalp he prescribed me to apply clobederm lotion on scalp. one of friend told me that its very strong steriod isko oil mein mix kiye bgair mat lagana, please koi dermatologist advice karday k kya clobederm lotion seboric dermatitis ya psoriasis k liye sahi hai scalp pr lgana ya nhin ?? agr han to kya isko oil mein mix krky lgana hai ya direct yuhin ..

Yes it is a super potent steroid medicine. Use a coal-tar based shampoo such as c tar shampoo or photonic tar shampoo or neutrogena t gel shampoo etc use the shampoo for 2-3 times a week, apply on wet scalp leave it for 5-7 min then wash off. Mix 1 part of clobederm lotion with 3 parts of liquid paraffin and apply daily on scalp for 3-4 weeks. As your condition improves taper down the use os lotion and try to rely on shampoo alone for maintenance of scalp psoriasis.
