Talk to Dermatologist on Seborrhoeic Dermatitis

A month ago I had a flare up of seborrhoeic dermatitis around my nose and mid of my forehead ( total of 2 inches of area ) .I have SD for last 2 years but really really mild and happens once in two months in summers but this time It was really worse like never before and after two straight weeks it got healed without any medications as I applied a lot of moisturizer and took care of my skin like I do before. The dermatologist prescribed me advantan ointment and she said if it happens again apply a thin layer at night for 10 days And by doing so it will go away permanently . So is it possible that my SD will go away permanently by any treatment? I'm really worried because my university is going to get started and I can't afford such flares and extreme itchiness over my face as it effects my mental health alot .
