I am having severe cystuc acne from last 6 months, i was prescribed isotretinoin by my dermatologist, i've used it for 4 months but there is no effect. Every 3rd day there is a new painfull bump on my face, that continues to pain for 3 to 4 days. I've cut down all my sugars and soft drinks intakes, can't figure out what's wrong.
Acne especially severe acne or nodulocystic acne can take 6 months or even more for significant results.
In females, we need to figure our underlying hormonal changes also and suggest medicines accordingly.
Sometimes we need to adjust dosage of isotretinoin also.
Please follow the advice of your skin specialist and stick to his/her advice as it may need patience in some cases.

Plz talk to ur dermatologist. May be she adds on some medication or topical medicine. Some hormonal test will help out too. Don't loose hope. Don't stress urself. U will be alright In shaa Allah.
