Asking for Other, Female, 30 years old, Isb
A friend o mine got an abscess on her chin. The doc gave he antibiotics for three days to get it dried up inside, so it should not get burst, as it may leave a mark. She got one injection only. 1. Should she get more injection? , as she just has to go to a rural area, so does the antibiotics in the dorm of tablet works? Or should she go back get more injection? 2.Should skin abscess in face be treated to dried up using antibiotics? Or should it be allowed to ripe and get burst? 3. How many days does it take to dry up abscess inside. 4. Any remedies or precautions to avoid the mark? 5.What are the signs that abscess will burst. She does not pain now, but complaining of slight pimple on the center of that area.
A prompt reply will be appreciated. So accordingly she goes back to Isb, or go the some developed area around.
Can you please share photos. It’s unusual to prescribe Injectable antibiotics unless it’s a big abscess and patients are not able to take medicines per oral. Even though you have tried to explain it’s difficult to assess the size, location and extent of the abscess and whether it’s causing fever or not. Best would be to see a specialist before she proceeds to rural areas.

Abscess ki jaga ab aik gilti bn gai hy, aur wahan py kala nishan bhi par geya hy, q k jb garh ka pain khatam hoa tha aur complete abscess khtam hony sy pehly h medicine leni bnd ker d the, as medicine was disturbing the stomach... .. Ab us ka kia kia ja sakta hy? Taking augmentin 625 mg twice a day. Gulti kaisy khatam ho ge... Can not upload pics, tried but pic upload nh hoi.
