Talk to Dermatologist on Skin Colour

My wife has fair complexion. But two body parts where she uses hair removing cream got very dark complexion. Under arms are still bit ok but under legs it became very dark. She uses Nair cream or lotion imported one. Any dermatologist if please tell the reason for that and any remedies. Thanks
