Skin tanning is a normal physiological response when someone with type 3 to 5 skin is exposed to sun. Best sun protector is wearing full sleeves clothings in your case. If not possible then apply Sun blocks 60+ and repeat every 2 to 3 hours when exposed to sun.

Acne and Melasma are two different problems. Melasma is usually in females and hormones related. Pigmentation with acne is usually post inflammatory. So first you need to get your acne treated which probably is the root cause of your pigmentation and once successfully treated then get treatment for pigmentation.
