I always had these black marks on my toes but recently they are getting darker. I don't wear close shoes. Is this a skin issue or there could be an underlying disorder? How do I get rid of these?

In my opinion you have these black marks since childhood and your skin at the back of hand finger joints would also be dark. I think this runs in either your maternal or paternal family. You will find a few members (not all) having this pattern.
