Asking For Self, Female, 43 Years old, Dubai

Diagnosed by a dermatologist to be Ulticaria and given loratadine and pirion but as pirion and all first generation anti histamines (avil, atarax)are banned in Dubai so was asked to have either cetrizine or ebastine in addition to loratadine. Yesterday as I took loratadine at night and Zyrtec at sehri time, I experienced a lot of heat coming out of my rashes after taking Zyrtec so was advised by dermatologist to discontinue Zyrtec and try ebastine instead but now I am worried as it might again give reaction like zyrtec so didn’t take any med at suhoor. Need a second opinion

Having antiallergic medicine is not the treatment. The treatment of Urticaria is the diagnosis of the causative / offending substance bringing urticarial rash.

This you will have to diagnose yourself for example you will have to note sure eating what edible you get this. It does not occur immediately but it takes an hour or maybe more to develop.

Other reasons for Urticaria is something that you are inhaling eg dust or pollens, cat and dog hair, house dust especially if you have carpet all over.

Thirdly you may have chronic or acute infection anywhere in your body.
These are things a good Dermatologist assist the patient in finding out. Please ask your doctor to help you find the offending chemicals.
There is no medicine treatment of Urticaria. Only management

Regards
