Plz tag an endocrinologist. I have the problem of excessive sweating. I went to endocrinologist who said that i should get my tsh t3 nd t4 checked and i might have thyroid problem. I dont have any other visible symptom and i am also overweight. My bmi is 29. Is it necessary to get my thyroid tests done? Or am i fine? Plz help

There are many causes of over sweating and hyperthyroidism can be one of them but if ur thyroid function is normal that can be ruled out. As u mentioned ur BMI is 29 so u may be having metabolic syndrome along with diabetes or pre diabetes which cal also lead to increased sweating especially upper half the body. hyperthyroidism
to rule out ur cause it is necessary to get ur thyroid profile done...and its not necessary that u present with all the symptoms ..in sub clinical cases u may present with one or 2 symptoms only
