Asking for Self, Male, 20 years old, Lahore
Doctor, I am 20 years old. My height is about 5’6, and the last time it increased was around 3 years ago. Since then, my height has remained the same. My weight has also been almost stable for the past 2 years at around 50 kg. However, I still do not have a proper beard, and my voice has not deepened much. Because of this, I look younger than my actual age. I want to ask if there is still any possibility for my height to increase, or could this be due to delayed puberty or a hormonal issue?
Please guide me regarding the following tests (or any others you find necessary): • X-Ray Left Hand & Wrist (Bone Age Assessment) • IGF-1 • LH, FSH • Serum Testosterone (Total & Free) • Serum Prolactin • Thyroid Profile (TSH, Free T3, Free T4) • 25-Hydroxy Vitamin D • Serum Calcium • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Have you done these tests ? what is your parents' height ?
yes .better to do all of the above except IGF 1..which we can consider later on.
meanwhile ,a good history is needed to rule out possible causes.
thank you
I can help and guide you properly
