Talk to Endocrinologist on Parathyroid
Asking for Self, Female, 33 years old, Karachi
Want an endocrinologists' opinion. I've been having multiple symptoms so my general physician recommended that I get a few tests. The results are as follows:
PTH 9.3 (range 10 to 60) Ionized calcium 4.66 (range 4.65 to 5.28) Phosphate 3.24 (range 2.5 to 4.5) Vitamin D 61 (sufficiency greater than 30, intoxication greater than 150)
The general physician says everything is normal and to ignore the PTH test result as it's mildly low. He says if I had any trouble with my parathyroid then my PTH level would be 2 or 3. Should I consult an endocrinologists or not?
