First things first “inhomogeneous" is not a thyroid disease or medical condition. Inhomogeneous is a description of the appearance of something.
It's like asking, “what are plaid shorts and how do I fix them?”
The term inhomogeneous (or heterogeneous) refers to something that is not smooth or uniform in appearance. For example, if you looked into a bowl of milk the surface of that milk would appear homogeneous. Now if you mixed granola and a handful of berries and banana slices into that bowl, you would be looking at something that is inhomogeneous (or heterogeneous).
If your thyroid appears inhomogeneous it can be suggestive of certain thyroid conditions, but in and of itself is not a thyroid disease
