My prolactin level is high. I want to ask is it difficult to loose weight with high prolactin level?? How can I balance this hormone. I'm really worried.
In case of High prolactin it’s level and symptoms it’ is causing is also important
Some drugs May raise it s level. weigh gain is not directly related to high prolactin level

Why was prolactin checked? ( symptoms)
How high?
Prolactin can be elevated due to many reasons including other medications such as antipsychotics etc.
Prolactin usually is not linked to weight gain (except in severe hypothyroidism) So TSH should be checked, and you should an endocrinologist of your choice.

Increase of weight, facial hair and severe acne. Severe pain during periods.
My dr recommend me to had these following tests: TSH,LH, FSH And prolactin. All tests were normal except prolactin level. It was high. At first my prolactin level came 54 and after second test it came 69. What should I do now? I started dopergin so should I start the course again?

High prolactin levels directly not related to weight gain but indirectly could be a cause of other hormonal problems which may cause weight gain, such as untreated Primary Hypothyroidism;if so, then we need to treat the underlying disease to help in weight loss.

High prolactin levels will cause an increase in weight because they cause an imbalance with other hormones adjusting to its higher levels. Why was your prolactin checked.in the first place? Plz send yr report and call.my secretary on 042-32591427,

very high prolactin lwvels are due to a pituitary tumour known as prolactinoma

My prolactin level is 69. I started taking dopergin but then I left. As such there is no period irregularity. I'm gaining weight I'm doing different exercises, walk and dieting but there is no change
