Weight Mgmt In Diabetic

Question

My mother is diabetic  patient since 2005 and used various medicines, she was using mixtard insulin from last 3 or 4 years. As she get obessed i.e. her weight is 110kg and doctor change her medications.

Now she is taking levemir insulin also vildagliptin+ metformin and xiga and concor 5mg tablets but i want to replace tablets by insulin as all these  tablets have side effects like uti kidney damage, bladder cancer etc but with insulin weight gain is an issue now how to manage all this?
i want that she use insulin and her weight not increase how to manage this issue?

We now have both Victoza and Trulicity, which reduce appetite, help control diabetes and able to help reduce weight, please have her visit an endocrinologist office.
