Almost 7-8years ago, i felt like there's something wrong with my righr ear. my ear was fluidy and i could feel air being leaked through my ear drum. I consulted ENT doctor and he confirmed that there's a hole in my ear drum. he prescribed some medicine back then. it seemed to be a temporary fix and then after some time, the issue reappeared and now I'm having this issue for last 4-5 years but nowadays I'm having more liquid oozing out of my ear in morning. I want to ask following questions: 1. is the ear hole curable? 2. what are the procedures and their estimated costs? 3. recommend ENT specialist for this issue in Lahore (nearby Johar town area would be preferable)

If the hike is very small and ear remains infection free for three months or so, yes it may heal and close. But if recurrent infection and / or perforation is large them it needs a surgical procedure. The cost will vary from hosp to hosp and Drs experience. In govt hosp it's being routinely done. There's always a small but possible risk of re-perforation for various reasons. Anyways your Dr will guide you.
