Assalaam u 2 days course of sterone syrrup we are now giving son age 6.5 myteka one tablet twice a day with full nebule clenil long can we safely continue these and is any cough syrrup needed as are also planning for adenotonsillectomy in sha allaah.

Aoa. Syp. Sterone is steroid which should be taken under care of doctors. it can be given upto 10 days. Tab. Myteka cam be given upto one month. it is important to know that why patient is taking oral and inhaling steroids. History is very important. Usually patient for adenotonsillectmy does not need steroids before operation. patient can visit my clinic at Rawalpindi for further check up.
