Hi Docs, I have been suffering from the eye sight issues since the 8th grade, I started with -1.25 in both eyes now i'm at -6 with cylindrical number. And to be very honest, I have hated wearing the glasses as they push my confidence back at times. I'm looking out for suggestions. My computer usage is about 40 hours a week, I do have set-up the contrast thing on my laptop. Please do throw out any suggestions as to how to stabilize this number and if i would be the candidate for LASIK cause i need to get rid of my glasses, be it lense implantation.

You need complete eye examination with few investigations if they turned out to be ok then we can get rid of numbers by doing two different procedures.
it is usual that number increase during teen age.... it would be stabilized automatically near 20. once it is stabilized then you can go for Lasik
eye sight stablizes usually after age of 20 years. you can only undergo laser surgery after 20 years of age and if your number remains stable for atleast 6 months.so you should wait till then and use glasses.

Usually the numbers get stabilize btw 18-21 years of age. To get rid of glasses, Lasik is a good option. To be eligible for LASIK, you need to see a reliable LASIK surgeon, who will find out if lasik is feasable for you or not.
Salam your number seems to be progressively increasing which is not a good sign you need to come for checkup and detailed retina screening
