Talk to Eye Specialist on Eyesight Problem With Future Implications

If a person has issue with eyesight from childhood. Then he didn’t had an issue growing up,studied well and graduated. During high school while playing his eye retina got detached. So after that he had retinal surgery and eyesight deteriorated further. No one in his family has this issue . I also have little bit eyesight weak like -2 ,so I want to know what if we both get married ,what will be the future implications for us and will these affect our new born or not? What are the chances that our future babies will also face these issues ? Should we avoid getting married ??
