Asking For Self, Female 19, lahore
i have a lazy eye, my left eye, which is squinted. When I wear my glasses, the squint is not noticeable, like no one can detect that i have squint in my left eye. However, when I remove my glasses, the left eye turns inward. I'm looking for alternatives to glasses, specifically contact lenses, as I don't want to wear glasses for an upcoming event ( my brother's wedding) . I'd like to know if contact lenses are a suitable option for me.
contact lens will not improve it . it's function of glasses. u can opt for squint surgery to get better results.
Do you have amblyopia along with squint?
You can use a good quality contact lens for 2-3 hours (not for a long period) and must follow all the protocol to use the contact lens in an appropriate way

Squint is a misalignment. Amblyopia is a functional vision development issue.

so how do i know that i have amblyopia or squint . Are there any specific symptoms or effects . Secondly i just want the power lens so after removing my glasses my eyes remain aligned and dont move inward because the glasses made the eye aligned but due to the wedding i dont wanna wear glasses as its a big event.

In most cases, contact lenses can align the eyes just like glasses, but it depends on the type of squint and the mechanism by which glasses are correcting it.
