Well, now the difference has come to my son, but when he wakes up from sleep in the morning and evening, then his eyes are slightly red. Please tell me any good treatment method
If your son has a cold and phlegm cough, it is not uncommon for his eyes to become red as well. This is often caused by a condition called conjunctivitis, which is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the clear membrane that lines the eyelid and covers the white part of the eye.
Conjunctivitis can be caused by a variety of factors, including viral or bacterial infections, allergies, and exposure to irritants such as smoke or pollution.
Here are some steps you can take to help alleviate your son's symptoms:
Keep his eyes clean: Gently wipe your son's eyes with a damp cloth or cotton ball several times a day to remove any discharge or crusting.
Use warm compresses: Place a warm, damp cloth over your son's eyes for a few minutes several times a day to help reduce redness and discomfort.
Encourage your son to rest: Make sure your son gets plenty of rest to help his body fight off the infection.
Give him over-the-counter medication: If your son is experiencing pain or discomfort, you can give him over-the-counter medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
Consult with a pediatrician : If your son's symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to consult with a pediatrician. They may prescribe antibiotic eye drops or ointment for your son, if it is a bacterial infection.
It's important to note that conjunctivitis is highly contagious, so it's important to take precautions to prevent the spread of the infection to others. Encourage your son to wash his hands frequently and to avoid sharing personal items such as towels or washcloths.
