My daughter is 15 months old she has squint eye problem since birth u hav checked her out by dr she has weak wyesight +5.50 she has started wearing glasses her eyes r fine when wearing glasses but without glasses they get squint i wanted to know how can i make improvement in her eyes ? Will these number get low with age or not ? Are these numbers too much for weak eyesight ? How will her squint eye get normal ? Please suggest

it is accommodative esotropia... just use glasses... checkup after every 6 months to check glasses number.... all symptoms would go with time..... also chances of decreases in glasses number
just make her wear glasses. this is the treatment she needs. with time squint may get better with continous use of glasses and folllw up check ups.
At this stage glasses are the treatment, however get them reviewed after every 6 to 9 months
Get her assessed every six months you can consult dr nusrat in shifa eye trust or dr saadullah with my reference or if you come to Lahore then children hospital
At present the most effective treatment is use glasses though difficult to manage with 15 months aged baby.
There is always a possibility that this power may decrease but we can't exactly calculate.
This is considered as high powered number but the good thing is that eyes are straight with glasses and baby has good visual potential.
we keep these kids under close observation with frequent eye examination.
As the child grows there is a possibility that the power of glasses may decrease with an improvement of squint.

Thank you dr. The good thing is she has accepted her glasses and wear it without any hassle but i was just worried about squint one more thing i make her use mobile while eating watvhing cartoons is that okay ?

that's good.... avoid her mobile as much as you can and show her cartoons on TV
