Three days of burning and chest heaviness after meals sounds like acid reflux that’s not responding to the meds you tried. First, keep meals small and avoid late eating—stay upright for at least 2–3 hours after eating. Cut back on trigger foods: spicy, fatty, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks. Chew gum or suck on a lemon‑scented lozenge to stimulate saliva, which can neutralize acid. If the OTC antacids or an H2 blocker don’t help, consider a stronger PPI prescribed by a clinician. Persistent symptoms beyond a week or if you notice weight loss, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing warrant a medical evaluation, possibly an endoscopy.
