Asking for Self, Male, 28 years old, Karachi
I had digestive issues including bloating, frequent burping, abdominal fullness, nausea, and a burning sensation around my chest and upper abdomen. My gastroenterologist prescribed a two-week course of medication for dyspepsia.
After completing the course, around 90% of my symptoms improved. My bloating, burping, nausea, and bowel-related issues have now completely resolved. However, I still experience an unusual menthol-like or toothpaste-like burning/cooling sensation that sometimes occurs around my chest and sometimes around my abdomen.
The sensation comes and goes on its own, has no consistent trigger, and is more noticeable after meals, although it can also occur on an empty stomach. My skin looks completely normal, and touching the affected area does not reproduce the sensation. is this gut related issue or nerve related? All thyroid related tests were normal.
