I had a Cholecystectomy surgery on 10 April, Diarrhea started since then. Surgeon advice me to take Flagyl. Since diarrhea didn't stop i went to another doc on 24 April, he prescribed me cafiget, lomotil, and fasigyn for 5 days plus Inj R/l 1000ml Inj novidat 200mg iv x stat After 5 days, it didnt stop so he told me take cipval 2 times plus ecotec probiotics, taking these for last 2 days, showing no improvement. Also diagnosed with h. Pylori positive (stool test), treatment on hold due to above said surgery

This happens sometimes in patients after cholecystectomy as bile acids increase in intestine as reservoir (gallbladder) is removed. Start Questran (cholestyramine) 4g sachet twice daily. Avoid all fatty foods. Review after two weeks.
