Talk to Gastroenterologist on Constipation
Asking for Self, Female, 24 years old, Karachi
I am facing constipation issue very frequently and was diagnosed with anal fissure and stiffness in rectum after physcial check. I used GTN 0.2 cream for 3 weeks with taking laxatives but no progress in anal relaxation. The condition is getting worse in Ramadan, no defecation without laxatives. Now as can't visit doctor, I tried to self check and it feels like there is hard ball sort of mass pushing downwards which is not letting the passage for stool to open. Please suggest what should I do? Also suggest any tests or ultrasound I should get done?

It could be impacted stool or a mass. In either of a situation proper examination by a qualified gastroenterologist need to be done. Colonoscopy examination may be required to confirm diagnosis to guide proper treatment. Lot of doctors offering consultation following SOPs for COVID 19 spread.
