Talk to Gastroenterologist on Left Upper Abdomen Pain

I've been having left upper abdomen pain just around the ribs which radiates to the left shoulder blade at the back it comes and goes and I've noticed it hurts when I've an upset stomach. Currently I'm taking meds after a miscarriage to clear out the utreus which triggered the pain in the left side of abdomen too since the medicine also caused diarrhea. I really want to know why it happens I got a whole abdomen ultrasound few months back when I was having diarrhea and the same pain but the ultrasound was normal. I want to know what tests should I do or is it just normal specially with meds I'm taking now? No other medical history.
