Talk to Gastroenterologist on Somatic Anxiety

How much time it takes to cure somatic anxiety? If it is being faced from the past four years ? Iam seeing a psychiatrist but his meds are kinda not working i havent seen any change in 6 months what to do ? My all reports are clearly fine but i can't eat ! Whenever i eat it makes me feel nausea, bloated , extreame pain in stomach and intestines . I can't eat enough like a normal person. After having a meal my heart starts pounding very fast. Most of the time i feel low . I am very curious about my symtoms . I feel like destroyed.

Dear its better to change your psychiatrist. The abdominal symptoms you have are secondary to stress and ongoing psychological problem not neccessarily anything wrong within your gut. Thats the reason your all test are normal. There is no test to confirm depression anxiety or stress; it is only a good history and question and answers with your psychiatrist which can diagnose depression and also assesses the intensity of this problem.
