Asking for Mother, Female, 62 years old, Karachi
Assalamualaikum, My mother is 62 years old and past few years she has been suffering from stomach issues, gas, pain etc... She had her endoscopy done last year by Dr. Ali Taj and she had mild ulcer. After that she was eating Dalia mostly. But her condition didn't improve.. and now since 2-3 months she's experiencing extreme pain in her abdomen. She's unable to empty her bowel, either she feels constipated or she suffers from diarrhea.. She's losing weight rapidly. In 2-3 months she lost 7-8 kg. She lost her appetite and don't want to eat anything because of the pain.

walaikumusalam. thanks for your concerned, it seems like she has gastric issue as well some intestinal problem. it's better visit nearby Gastroenterologist and adjust her medicines properly . she must be examined before prescribing any medicine.

I will suggest consult gastroenterologist for proper history and examination and probably repeat endoscopy
Waa, she needs re evaluation of her symptoms. Her symptoms should get better with anti ulcer medicines. If they are not getting better and she is lossing weight ,stool H pylori antigen test may be done again. Need of endoscopy would be reassessed after evaluation of her further symptoms .
Waa, ur mother had ulcer in which part of stomach or intestine ?? N what treatment she took for that ulcer ... she may reqiure repeat endoscopy .. send her details ..
ideally she needs proper workup...it can be something else..not just stomach issue..get a CT Scan whole abdomen done along with other workup...bti suggest meet a gastroenterologist first so that he can examine and take a proper history
