i am diabetic and TVD heart patient from 4 years cardiologist recommended me cabg but i cant aford expenes but i do exrecise and walk daily i have no problem but one week ago in my blood test serum potassium level border line 5.1 and my A1c 12.2 i am taking sitaglumate 50/500and gytrel 4 mg what to do my serum potassium level decrease and A1c decrease
start regular insulin 6 units three times daily
stop oral anti diabetic drugs
get renal function test
With insulin your HBA1 C will improve and also potassium will decrease
potassium could be a sampling error
may get another report
although sugar is alarmingly high
