Hello everyone hope you are doing well. My niece has beta thalassaemia trait(HB A:94.3, HB A2:5.7), could you please tell us that should this be treated if possible which specialist doctor will be better to consult. Additionally, what medications or food well be better for this kind of patient?
I can help and guide you properly
Respected, it is an inherited disorder and you have to live & compromise with it..I personally call it a DEFICIENCY disorder in which your hemoglobin usually remains less than the lower limit of normal & more importantly you feel tired and get fatigue early..
Better you need to consult some hematologist for further management..And again more importantly to discuss what you have to take care of before his/her marriage.

Beta Thalassemia is an inherited disorder. Your child would be requiring blood support and medications to keep body Iron low and raise a hemoglobin type which protects from many symptoms. There number of Thalassemia care ctrs where your child can get proper care. Nutrition has but little role in day to day management.
