Asking for Husband, Male, 35 years old, Bahawalpur
My husband hb was 11.8 one year back then 3 months back his hb was 12.3 now his hb is 9.8. What could be the reason what other tests should be done? He also has yhe issue of constipation amd blood in stool Because of it sometimes.

Please check his serum ferritin levels,,is there family history of thalassemia?? He needs to be examined by a gastroenterologist for PR examination .
Also do stool for occult blood, share serum ferritin report when its done , if iron deficiency he will be managed accordingly or he may need Hb studies
