Talk to Hepatologist on Abdominal Pain

person-avatar

Asking for Mother, Female, 56 years old, Islamabad, Pakistan

It has been 20-25 days since the patient was hospitalized. Initially, the problem started with pale appearance and abdominal discomfort. On ultrasound, it was revealed that the bile duct was obstructed, and a diagnosis of 'obstructive jaundice' was established. The doctor passed a stent in the bile duct. However, the symptoms did not improve. Bilirubin started to decrease from 25 to 5.7, but severe pain in the abdomen continued. A CT was suggested. Based on the CT and lab results of certain pancreatic markers, the doctor (Gastro specialist) established a diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis. The patient is on Prednisolone therapy for 6-7 days, but she still suffers from severe pain sometimes.

Need a second opinion from a specialist from Islamabad/Rawalpindi. Every specialist/hospital I come to know of has bad reviews on the internet. If the doctors on this platform have a personal acquaintance with a Specialist, please recommend. Thank you.
