My mom is a patient of high blood pressure 140/90....doctor has prescribed Abecab 5/20 mg and Bisolol 2.5 mg....even though mom's blood pressure is normal, she always has dizziness and palpitations and pressure in her chest... After taking medicine the chest palpitations increased....then the doctor gave up Bisolol 2.5 mg for chest palpitations and gave Indevor 10 mg but after taking it the chest palpitations started to get worse, then she stopped taking it and now the problem is always chest palpitations and dizziness. After taking the medicine and not taking it again... even after doing the ECG, nothing was detected.... She had the problem of palpitation before but after taking the medicine now it always happens.All reports are normal.New doctor prescribed mom abetis 10 mg instead of abecab 5/20 but there is no improve.After taking the medicine she feel diziness in morning in 130/90.In morning her pressure sometimes low and sometimes high.Mostly low blood pressure in morning.Now tel
Without examination of the patient it is difficult to decide but I think she is hypertensive and has got svt please send me the ecg and stop all medication and start with mepresor 100 mg in the morning and ester 10 mg at night regards
You need to get a 24 hour holter done and show her to cardiac electrophysiologist.
Kindly get ECG and check doctor physically as all symptoms are alarming and need proper consultation
monitor her blood pressure...once in sitting than after 3 minuts standing.Get a thyroid profile and 24 hours holter monitoring.is palpitation is associated with chest pain or sweating??
The diazzines may not be related to medicine.
It may be due to neck problems

Palpitation is a very non specific symptom, it's causes can vary from as minute as stress, change in diet to life threatening conditions like some serious heart conditions . Even gastric ulcer can present with palpitation. It can be drug induced as well as this thought that I have BP issue can induce palpitations.
So, my recommendation is to get her checked first , which include history , examinations, labs etc and then should go for management

there are multiple reasons of palpitations,1st we have to see the main reason of palpitation,either HTN,or heart disease,or thyroid or anxiety,.i would like to examine her first nd go through all the tests already done.and will examine her.then can advise medication.regards.
First label high blood pressure on guideline basis , at least Home monitoring or Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring or increased blood pressure at least 3 times in office spaced over a period of weeks to months. ( Reports normal and palpitations even before taking medicines ). She should be evaluated physically and properly
