Asking For Mother, Female 54, faisalabad
A.A respected drs. my mother had sudden high blood pressure ranges 180/100. she is not a bp patient as we used to measure the bp on regular basis.. this is very sudden, she feel numbness in the whole left side of body, especially when she lay down on bed to fall asleep, her left body feel numb and she cannot sleep the whole night due to this. her bp fluctuate all the time, within minutes it goes from 110 to 140 and then 180. sometimes she feels strong heat in her side, sometimes she feels cold. we went to many hospitals for a complete checkup but they sent us back to home saying she has no issue. the reason is when my mother do a walk, her bp lows down and the body slightly turned back normal. the doctors cannot diagnose what she was suffering from. a dr suggests MRI. we are much worried what to do and from where my mother can get proper treatment. she is facing this issue from past three days.
Hi thanks for asking ,have you done for her any CT brain ???if yes I would like to see the film .plus the BP must be checked and treated .
She might need few further tests .

we went to NIC faisalabad. they did ecg of my mother, and said ecg is normal you can go back to your home. but my mother was feeling not well her left side of body was numb and when it comes back to normal she feel severe pain in that side.

Thank you very much sharing your concern. Please give more details about numbness, how did it start like gradual or all of sudden. Is it progressing, where exactly numbness is? Any weaknesses, problems with speaking or vision issues? Secondly make sure you are using appropriate device and techniques to measure BP as most of automatic BP measuring devices give huge fluctuations in their readings. Once you have answers for these queries, then we can proceed further.

thank you so much dr to reply to my query. my mother feel numbness in her whole left side from head to toe, she face this problem especially when she does lie down on bed to take rest. she cannot sleep due to this.
we do not understand the reason behind this because she has no history of high blood pressure.

Does she experience any headaches n sweatiness during these episodes. Secondly, if she is having any hot flashes, sense of hot. Any changes is in her periods?

her periods are stop because her utirus was removed by operation nearly 7 years ago.

a dr suggets MRI (brain C DWi). which is available in aziz fatima hospital and allied hospital faisalabad only. they told that your turn will be after two days as both the hospitals are over crowded.
