Talk to Internal Medicine on Numbness In Arms And Feet

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Male 29, Wahcantt

When I sit for a long time, or stay in the same position while sitting or sleeping, I get numbness in my feet and sometimes my arms. I get numb much faster than other people who are in the same position. I had my vitamin B-12 levels checked, and they were low. I took supplements like Osnate D, Indrop D injections, and Mecobal. After a month, my B-12 was back to normal, but I still have the same numbness. What could be causing this, and what can I do to fix it?"

B12 normally results from nutritional deficit , secondly the issue you’re facing is due to nerve compression which occurs as a result of prolong sitting . And according to your statement you look like a desk job person . Try to move a bit after some while so that you don’t compress your nerves… normally in hands, your last 2 fingers would get numbness due to Ulnar nerve compression And as far as feet are concerned it’s due to Sciatic nerve which supplies your whole leg.
