Talk to Lung Surgeon on Fluid In Lungs
Asking For Self, Female, 56 Years old, Karachi
Asking on behalf of my mother she is having a breathing problem while walking or lying down on flat surface. Currently she is taking nebulise. Does she has a fluid in lungs
not exactly , with time in few patients because of multiple reason , a part of lung loses its normal structure. it loses its elastic tissues and muscles and some part develops into sac like structures. Which do not participate in gasseous exchange but are reserviors of mucus and pus collection.So patients tend to have chronic cough, productive ones , fever , shortness of breath. Preferable to get Ct scan chest with IV contrast or HRCT to have a better picture of the lung and disease severity.
