Asking For Someone else, Other, Male, 50 Years old, Rawalpindi
Asalaam aleykum, my uncle has pains in his kidneys as well as numbness in his feet and fingers at times. He feels sick even though he wouldn’t have eaten. It’s got to a point where he is unable to sleep due to the pains. At times also affects him where hallucinating or talking gi rush. He suffers from diabetes and takes Getryl and SITA-Met. If you could advice would be appreciated.
Walaikum as Salam,
These symptoms require a thorough evaluation. Some of his symptoms may be relates to diabetes mellitus (numbness in hands and feet may be dur to diabetic neuropathy and "feeling sick" even if has not eaten may be explained by diabetic gastroparesis). Kidney pain is not very common with diabetic kidney disease unless there is infection, obstruction or stone). Test results of urine analysis, AC ratio, , kidney function, glucose control (hemoglobin A1c) and kidney ultrasound may sort some of these issues. Hellucinations (? visula or auditory) will still require detailed evaluation by history and review of medications.
Wishing him good health.
