Asking For Someone else, Daughter, Female, 09 Years old, islamabad
Meri beti mashallah se 9 months ki hain iss k liye konsa toothpaste best hoga?
She can use normal colgate or aquafresh toothpaste. As she is 9 years of age, she has both permanent and milk teeth. The quantity should be less than what adults use but she can use it safely.
For a 9‑month‑old, you can start cleaning her gums with a soft cloth or gauze. Once the first tooth erupts, use a very small amount (pea‑size) of fluoride toothpaste (around 0.05% fluoride). Avoid fluoride toothpaste before the first tooth appears. This helps prevent early childhood caries while keeping fluoride exposure safe. Do you have any concerns about bottle‑feeding or sugary drinks?

A pea‑sized amount of fluoride toothpaste (about 1000 ppm) is best for a 9‑month‑old. In Pakistan you can use “Colgate Kids” or “Crest Baby” – both are child‑friendly and contain a safe fluoride level. Use a soft, small‑brush and supervise so she doesn’t swallow toothpaste. Once a day after the first feeding is sufficient at this age. Do you have any concerns about your baby’s diet or about starting brushing earlier?
Here are some healthy snack ideas for a 9‑month‑old: small mashed avocado, ripe banana, plain yogurt, soft cooked carrots or sweet potato, and iron‑fortified infant cereal mixed with breastmilk or formula. Offer these in small spoonfuls, and always supervise to prevent choking. Avoid sugary biscuits, cakes, and sweetened drinks. Pair snacks with a balanced diet of pureed meats and vegetables to support growth and dental health. Keep the feeding routine consistent and remember to brush your baby’s teeth after each feed with a pea‑sized fluoride toothpaste.
