ALLAH has blessed me with a son at 33 weeks of pregnancy. He has bilateral cleft lip and cleft palate. He has a smaller whole in his heart which according to dr will be filled on its own within 3 to 6 months. At what minimum age his restoration treatment for bilateral cleft lip can be started? Bilateral cleft need need consultation from (i) Orthodontist
for some prosthesis as soon as possible because orthodontic appliances reduces the size of cleft with increasing age, you also need to see ENT specialist for Ear Examination and the ideal age for surgical intervention is around 3 months. you Also need to see Pediatric Surgeon / Pediatric Plastic Surgeon early if baby having difficulty in feeding
