Dear doctors my baby girl is 5 month old and now I have observed that may be she has a tongue tie. she didn't feel any discomfort or any issue in latching. she breastfeed perfectly. I have observed that her tongue is not coming out of mouth fully. her tongue is moving with the lips. please let me know how to confirm its a Tonge tie and if it is a tongue tie what to do now. is tongue tie going to affect her speech?

before 1 year needs surgery..yess tongue tie..is possiblity.

This is corrected by Surgery called Frenulotomy, done by EMT Surgeons or Paediatric Surgeons
tongue tie or ankyloglossia is a simple procedure must be done before speech articulation development , in long term it will affect speech , mastication and also causes dental problems creating gap (midline diastema between two central inscisirs , visit near by oral & Maxillofacial surgeon for proper assessment and treatment ..
