Talk to Rheumatologist on Arthritis

My Calcaneus bone was fractured in has been five years. It was healed but pain remains around the calcaneus and on the joint. I feel a little pain while walking and more pain when I walk for a long time and it's hard to run fast. I have taken medicines for muscle relaxers and pain relievers but after stopping pain starts again. What is the issue, is this arthritis or bone has not healed properly? Is there a need for surgery to make bone plain? Or it can be treated with medicines. I want to give a direct service commission in the army. Am I unfit for an army or should I give. Please suggest.
