Asking For Other, Male 11, karachi
A 11 years old boy having pain in his lower abdomen and little bit irritation while urinating. Doctors suggest him INJ. IVF-C 5000 for 3 weeks and twice a week. Kindly tell me the conclusion according to these reports.

thank u so much for your reply. Can u please tell me one more thing that INJECTION IVF-C 5000, suggested by a Pediatrician for 3 weeks, shall they go for this treatment or surgery???
The family is confused thats why i m looking forward for second opinion.

ivf injection is given to wait and see that whether testis will descend or not. But remember that after 4 months age, the only method to descend the testis is thru surgery

and the surgery to descend the testes (orchidopexy) is maximum done upto the age of 1 yr. But now this child is 11 yrs old and is also complaining of pain which most likely point towards that the blood supply of that testis is reduced and thats why the size is also small. So in this surgery is done and testis will be removed (orchidectomy)

Bcz when the patient has undescended testis and he starts complaining of pain and ultrasound shows that the size of undescended testis is small it means that blood supply of that undescended testis is compromised. And it means that we have to remove that undescended testis. Bcz now at this age if we descend the testis thru surgery, it will be completely useless bcz the blood supply of that undescended testis has already been compromised. And it will also damage the normal descended testis. And if that undescended testis is not taken out of body then it will turn into testicular cancer

in my opinion there is no need to take ivf injections. This undescended testis has to taken out / removed from the body thru surgery

First go for DOPPLER ULTRASOUND SCROTUM of this child, and then visit the UROLOGY opd of any good hospital near you so that final management plan can be discussed

doc can u please advice me again??? the child has been checked by a urologist and he said there is nothing to worry about, because the testis is outside, it can be ciritical if its located inside the abdomen?? what is your opinion???
