Talk to Spinal Surgeon on Pain In Lumbosacral Spine

Hello ! I am a doctor and my height is 6'4. I had a dull pain in my LS spine about 3 weeks back mainly in Lumbar region which was dull and only on extension. I used to do exercise daily but for the last 1.5 months I was at home due to some work and not doing any physical activity at all. I took nuberol for it initially but it started to occur on both flexion and extension after some time. I consulted a neurosurgeon who advised me to start pregabalin and nuberol for 5 days. Now the pain is much better and only on getting up from lying or sitting position and mildly on extension. Should i be worried about it and go for an MRI or physiotherapy? PS: SLR test is negative and pain is confined to back only, not radiating to legs. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks
