my wife is experiencing a moderate to severe pain on upper right side of breast? one of local physicians gave following medications and the pain eased for 4 days now it's back again, what could possibly be the problem?

Breast pain can be due to multiple reasons. If it is severe, get her evaluated for examination and further management.

Focal pain in breast should undergo examination by a breast surgeon and ultrasound. If no lump or any abnormality and pain on pressing too then breast pain is generally not worrisome. Apply topical NSAID pain killer gel like voltral or fastum and any good pain killer long acting might help like Diclo SR once daily. Oil massages, cold compresses and wearing an appropriate fitted sports bra can be of help.
