Almost one month ago, I had Silac surgery. Before the procedure, there was a hole just above my an*s, it was uncomfortable to sit for long hours or on hard surfaces. there was pain in the area. The doctor said hair was trapped inside, but they cleaned and closed the hole. I informed him that I had a 28-hour flight two weeks later, and he assured it would be okay to travel.
After surgery, due to some family matters, I couldn’t strictly follow bed rest. However, I took my medications regularly and did sitz baths. I stayed in bed for 2–3 days, then started sitting more with my family and rested when tired. At my 9-day follow-up, the doctor said everything looked fine and that I could travel. I told him I still felt pressure while sitting; he said that was normal and would improve.
