Asking For Father, Male 60, lahore
Aslamo alaikum.. Sir my father just undergoes TURP procedure followed by prostate enlargement (106g). now mostly at night he feel strong urge to urinate with strong pain on holding. My question is will that be permanent or cure with the passage of time. Thanks.

The urologist would have explained prior to procedure that it takes a while to return back to the routine. Soon after the TURP they can have burning, stinging, frequent urination, inability to hold urine for longer, even urine accidents may happen; but slowly and gradually these symptoms calm down.
Last but not the least, TURP procedure does not guarantee that all the urinary problem would resolve.
I believe, the doctors would have instructed him to perform Pelvic floor strengthening exercises and other precautions.

Sir one more thing, doctor ask my father to take u-cholin (1+1), but he is now having continous cramps and strong burning sensations.
plz advice

It is quite normal and will settle in couple of month
It 'll subside with passage of time..wht abt histopathology report?
